SMC's Vision
The Sikh Motorcycle Club of Ontario is the essential ally and advocate of turban-wearing Sikhs who wish to ride a motorcycle in Ontario, as they are permitted to do in Alberta, BC, Manitoba, the United Kingdom and many other jurisdictions across the world. The Sikh Motorcyle Club of Ontario members are passionate abut their membership and the good it does in promoting Sikhi and the Turban across Canada.

Our Mission
We do this by
- Organizing monthly rides to spread awareness on Sikhi and providing workshops to communities on anti-racism
- Promoting the importance of the Turban at events
- Organizing and participating in charity and fundraisers across the country
- Organizing regular rides for all riders to promote road safety and riding knowledge

In 1999, the like minded people lobbied for helmet expeception and the law was paased.
A call was put out on Radio Punjab for Sikh motorcyclists to join their club. Thanks to the call, a large group of riders came forward and became members. The first meeting was held at Lovely Banquet Hall in Surrey and the club’s name was chosen as it remains today the Sikh Motorcycle Club.

Since 2007, the founder member of Sikh Motorcyle Club were lobbying with provincial govt for helmet exception – when the club was assured that the law will be passed.

After A long Struggle Of Sikh Motorcycle Club Of Ontario Helmet Exemption Is On The Way. Thanks To Ford Govt. For Helmet Exemption In Ontario. Big Thanks To Honorable Premire Mr. Doug Ford. Promise Made Promise Kept. MPP Prabhmeet Singh Sarkariya presented Bill At Queens Park Ontario Legislative Building On 18th October 2018. Sikh Nation was Present On This Big Day & Thanking Ford Govt.

Why be part of SMC?
1. The SMC is a non-profit organization.
2. The SMC will not discriminate against any race, gender, religion or ethnicity.
3. To promote and enforce rights of the Sikh motorcycle riders.
4. To strive for the right to ride motorcycle with Turban in Ontario
5. The SMC may oppose or support any Government or private body or institution and to strive for the fundamental rights of human beings according to the Sikh values.
6. To bring together a group of people who has belief in Sikh philosophies and riding style.
7. To spread the awareness among the people about the importance of the Sikh turban
8. To spread the awareness among the people about Sikhi.
9. To organize, participate and support the charitable events.
10. To promote the fellowship among the motorcycle riders.
11. To improve the relationship between the local community and the Sikh motorcycle riders through discussions, social events, seminars and similar events.
12. To promote the motorcycle safety through motorcycle riders safety courses, seminars, and rallies, as well as through newsletters and discussion among the member
